Greenchild Laboratory — Micropropagation
Research & Development

Where every tree
begins its journey.

Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. Micropropagation under laboratory conditions. Non-invasive Greenchild-Kiri hybrid, patent pending.

Greenchild-Kiri: Patent Pending. Non-invasive.

Conventional Paulownia species can spread uncontrollably. Greenchild-Kiri cannot. Our hybrids are bred so that they can only be propagated through controlled laboratory breeding — no wild seeding, no invasive growth. This is the fundamental difference.

The Difference

Conventional Paulownia vs. Greenchild-Kiri

Conventional Paulownia

  • Uncontrolled wild seeding
  • Classified as invasive in some regions
  • Variable wood quality
  • No standardized genetics
  • Fluctuating growth rates

Greenchild-Kiri

  • No wild seeding possible
  • Patent pending — controlled propagation in the laboratory
  • Consistent, high wood quality
  • Standardized genetics through micropropagation
  • Optimized growth rates

From the Lab to the Plantation

Every Greenchild tree begins as a tissue culture in the laboratory. Four steps — from cell material to finished seedling.

1

Tissue sampling

Cell material from the mother plant is taken under sterile conditions.

2

In-vitro culture

Propagation in nutrient medium under controlled light conditions.

3

Rooting

Seedlings develop their own root system in the greenhouse.

4

Acclimatization

Hardening under real conditions — ready for the plantation.

In the Greenhouse

Thousands of seedlings. Each one inspected.

The Science Behind It

Ss. Cyril and Methodius University

Our laboratory works in direct cooperation with the Faculty of Plant Biotechnology at the oldest university in North Macedonia. Here, our seedlings are cultivated under scientific standards — not in a garage.

Seedlings under laboratory conditions
Why this matters

Control instead of chance

Genetic consistency

Every tree has the same DNA. Uniform growth, predictable wood quality.

Disease resistance

Sterile laboratory conditions exclude fungi and parasites from the beginning.

Scalability

Thousands of identical seedlings per cycle — for professional plantation operations.
