Why Bees

Three Roles. One Ecosystem.

The bees are not decoration — they are a functional component of our plantation operations.

Pollination

Paulownia blossoms are pollinated by the bees. This strengthens the entire plant ecosystem of the plantation.

Bio-indicator

Healthy bee colonies = healthy ecosystem. The bees show us that the plantation is free of chemicals and pesticides.

Honey Production

High-quality Paulownia honey — a by-product of our plantation with its own market value.

The Beekeeper

Rasim Hamiti

Born on 19 July 1971. After high school with a focus on technical mathematics, Rasim studied at the Faculty of Psychology and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. For more than ten years, he has been devoting himself exclusively to beekeeping — full-time, 365 days a year.

Today he manages 200 bee colonies on the Greenchild plantation and knows each one. His experience is indispensable for the ecosystem of our plantation.

Paulownia Honey

A special by-product: the Paulownia blossom produces a unique, light honey with a mild taste. Our 200 colonies produce high-quality honey every year — another sign that our plantation lives and breathes.

Not a Monoculture

Bees, sheep, trees — everything works together

On our plantation, bees pollinate the blossoms. Sheep graze between the rows and keep the grass short. Their fertilizer nourishes the soil. The trees bind CO₂ and provide shade. Nothing is wasted — everything flows in a cycle.
